Mental Health Counseling for Women
Women's Resource Center offers free mental health counseling sessions to uninsured and underinsured women from Catawba, Burke, Caldwell and Alexander counties.
We currently have 2 licensed counselor available, and all counseling sessions are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
Pam Hawkins is a licensed NC counselor with over 35 years of experience. The greater part of her counseling knowledge has come directly through my clients. She has worked extensively with grief, domestic violence and sexual abuse; however she welcomes clients with a range of issues. She believes that our challenges are fluid and are constantly shifting throughout our lives. Because we have lived, we have gained wisdom. Her goal is to guide and support clients through accessing each of their own wisdom as they confront their current challenges.
Katherine Tadlock holds a BA in Applied Psychology from Belmont Abbey College, and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir Rhyne University. From 2018-2024, she worked at The Cognitive Connection; first as a Clinician, and most recently as the Clinical Site Supervisor. She currently works at Partners Health Management as an ACCESS Supervisor. On a personal note, she is married to her best friend, and they share a love for movies, museums, and traveling. They also have two wonderful teenagers: a 19-year-old daughter and a 15-year-old son.
