Annual Impact Report – 2025

Centrally located in Hickory, NC, Women’s Resource Center is a vital community hub for the Catawba, Caldwell, Alexander, and Burke Counties, offering services ranging from resource coaching and pantry support to mental health counseling and emergency financial grants. Through support groups, life-enriching workshops, and community events, we empower, uplift, and stand alongside ALL WOMEN every step of the way.

Resources & Referrals

4,420 women received resources and referrals either in person, by phone, online, or via email. 

That’s over a thousand more women than we served in 2024.

Basic Needs Distributed

$52,940 of personal hygiene items and household cleaning supplies were dispensed to struggling families

17 previously unhoused families received “Welcome Home” kits to help ease their transition into stable housing ($4,900 total value).

Health & Wellness

$9,557 in essential menstrual hygiene products was provided through our “No Strings Attached” program to ease the strain of period poverty on menstruating individuals who struggle to afford these necessary items

$63,150 worth of free counseling was provided to uninsured or underinsured women in our community to assist them in coping with life’s struggles.

Emergency & Financial Relief

$5,686 in direct financial assistance was distributed to women experiencing a temporary setback through our “Womenade” program.

$9,494 worth of hotel vouchers were provided to address the immediate shelter needs of women and families facing homelessness through our new “Sandra’s Safe Space Program”.
