Every new year brings a moment of pause – a breath between what has been and what is becoming. At Women’s Resource Center, that pause is filled with reflection, gratitude, and a renewed commitment to the women we serve across our region.

As we step into 2026, we’re carrying three things with us: hope, reach, and community. These more than themes. They’re the foundation of our work and the promise we make to every woman who walks through our doors or reaches out for support.

Carrying Hope

Hope is not a vague feeling for us, it’s a practice. It’s the steady belief that women can rebuild, reimagine, and rise when they have the right support behind them.

In 2025, we witnessed women take courageous steps toward stability:

• Securing safe housing
• Finding new jobs
• Navigating crises with dignity
• Reconnecting with their own strength

These stories remind us that hope is not fragile. It’s resilient. It grows in community. And in 2026, we’re committed to nurturing that hope Across the Four counties we serve.

Carrying Reach

This year we’re expanding our visibility and access across Catawba, Caldwell, Alexander, and Burke counties.

Because reach matters.

A woman’s ability to find support shouldn’t depend on where she lives, what transportation she has, or whether she’s heard of us before.

Reach means:

• Clearer pathways to resources
• Stronger partnerships Across the Four counties we serve
• More women knowing “WRC is here for me”
• A unified message of belonging

Our redesigned website and county-specific outreach are part of this commitment. In 2026, we’re not just serving the region – we’re showing up.

Carrying Community

Community is the heartbeat of WRC. It’s the volunteers who give their time, the donors who give generously, the partners who collaborate, and the women who trust us with their stories.

In 2026, we’re deepening that sense of community by:

• Hosting gatherings that celebrate connection, our Annual Galentine’s Party is around the corner!
• Strengthening sisterhood + philanthropy through a revamped Center Circle
• Creating more opportunities for people to learn, give, and get involved.

Community is what turns individual acts of support into collective impact. It’s what transforms a resource center into a place of belonging.
